Hi, my name is Mike Parrish and I have the distinct honor of being a Guest DJ during the February 2010 Song of the Month Contest at HosstheBoss.com. This simply means that I have the opportunity to get on a mic, stutter, stammer and make a complete fool of myself (which will definitely happen) for your listening pleasure. The good thing is that I don't have to punch any buttons but the BEST thing is that I get to introduce TEN great bands to the show!
My song "Blue Jean Baby" was the Song of the Month during June 2009 and went on to the Song of the Year Finals where we actually lost by two votes in the last few seconds of the contest. A very talented entertainer known as Steve Carlson went on to become the Song of the Year Champion with his song entitled "She Loves."

We made a lot of new friends and, besides receiving some really awesome exposure, we discovered a TON of new artists and really cool music. HosstheBoss.com continues to bring new artists to the forefront every month and there's always lots of surprises, especially during the artist interviews. You can vote for 5 bands every 24 hours during the whole month, leave comments to support your favorite artists and the show and at the end of the month the Top 5 move on to the Song of the Year Finals held at the end of the year.
